Adult Braces

My personality could not miss. If I wanted people to laugh at something, they laughed. I swanned around the office trailing fairy dust. I held my own charisma in my hands, glowing warm. I knew just how to do it. Saying so doesn’t feel like bragging to me now because that feeling is gone. It was a psychological trick of the light, and as soon as I didn’t believe it anymore, it disappeared.
